Our Veterans Program, Patriot Heroes "formally known as Hangin' with the Heroes"  was formed by a few veterans and former exalted rulers of the Ferndale Elks Lodge #1588, who wanted to show their appreciation and profound thanks to the men and women who serve our country and to the many who were being deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq in May of 2009. 

Some of the Ferndale Elk members began tossing around ideas for a special Celebration sendoff to honor these men & women, and to let their families know that the Ferndale Elks are here for them while their loved ones are away. 

Mayor Craig Covey of Ferndale immediately showing interest, asked to make this a city wide event - Open to the Public- to show our support and respect for our enlisted men, women and their families. 

Today our Program has since been renamed Patriot Heroes Program we continue to help Vets and throw send off and coming home parties as well as do anything to honor those that are serving or have served.
